Kötschach-Mauthen is a natural paradise for a relaxing but also sporty active holiday and offers many possibilities and experiences. From hiking, climbing, horse riding, canyoning, rafting, fishing to golfing or just a relaxing day at the water’s edge – the possibilities for an active holiday are endless.
Due to the ideal location of our house, in the centre – between Kötschach and Mauthen – the whole mountain world is practically at your feet. The wonderful play of colours of the blooming meadows, both in the valley and on the alpine pastures, invite you to extended walks, hikes, but also mountain tours.

If you would like to explore our mountain world with its diverse fauna and flora in an even sportier way, you can do these tours with our e-mountain bikes, which are either rented in our house or included in the room price.

The recreational facility and the natural swimming pool in Mauthen (10 minutes’ walk from the country inn) or the Aquarena adventure swimming pool in Kötschach offer a welcome refreshment on hot summer days.

including 44 controlled bathing lakes – warm and drinking water clear – some of which are also located near Kötschach-Mauthen.

Yes, and if you want to make a detour to the Adriatic for a day – in only 1/2 to 2 hours you are e.B. in Grado.

Get on the R3 – the Gailtal Cycle Path – right outside our front door.

This is one of the many possibilities for a family-friendly cycling excursion. In total, approx. 150 km of cycle paths offer you an unforgettable cycling experience.
But also all mountain bikers will have fun on our approx. 800 km of mountain bike trails. In the Naturarena Kärnten you can experience the limits in two ways on your bike. On the one hand you can experience action and freedom with your mountain bike and literally climb up the mountain, on the other hand you have many opportunities to undertake cross-border tours to Italy.

The Gailtal valley in the Nature Arena Carinthia offers cycling and mountain biking for every taste.

And you don’t have to bring the e-mountain bike from home – we rent out brand new e-mountain bikes for a small fee!

Kraftquelle Radegund

Im Graben zwischen St. Lorenzen und Wiesen, unter der Radegundbrücke, liegt schön idyllisch am Bach gelegen der Themenweg Kraftquelle Radegund. Dabei finden Sie die Kraftquelle “Natur” zur Erhlung und Entspannung, die Kraftquelle “Wasser” als Antrieb für Mühlen und Handwerksbetriebe (Schmiede), die Kraftquelle “Kultur” als Grundlage der menschlichen Identität und die Kraftquelle “Religion” als sinnstiftende Basis.
